Try Out Other Engineering Entrance Exams 

Apart from the national level entrance exam for engineering, i.e. JEE, India has many state and university level entrance exams offering engineering admissions in top colleges other than IIT.

Candidates who didn’t score well in JEE Main can also go for a B.Sc. degree based on their qualifying exam score or any other entrance exam. Reattempt JEE Main Next Year 

If qualifying for JEE and getting into top IIT/NIT is the ultimate goal, candidates can drop the current year and dispose of the entire year to better prepare for JEE Main. However, candidates are advised if they are dropping a year, they should not waste a minute of any distractions and focus on their studies to achieve the goal. 

State-level engineering entrance exams 

Apart from university-level exams, there are many state-level entrance exams as well that are conducted each year for admission into the undergraduate engineering courses offered by the participating institutes of the state such as MHT CET, AP EAMCET, TS EAMCET, KCET, and KEAM.
