8 Weird Ivy League Traditions You Don't Know About

 Primal Scream at Harvard:  At the stroke of midnight before the start of final exams, Harvard students strip down to their underwear and run through the campus, screaming at the top of their lungs. This tradition is believed to help relieve stress before exams.

Nude Olympics at Yale:  Yale students participate in an annual event called the "Nude Olympics." During the winter, students gather on the Old Campus and compete in various sports, wearing nothing but their birthday suits.  

Pumpkin Drop at Cornell:  Every fall at Cornell University, a large pumpkin is dropped from the top of a 161-foot tall clock tower known as McGraw Tower. 

Croquet Club at Princeton:  Princeton University has a Croquet Club that takes the game to a whole new level. Dressed in traditional white attire, students engage in competitive croquet matches on the university's lawns. 

Orgo Night at Columbia:  Orgo Night is a Columbia University tradition where the school's marching band storms into the library during finals week and performs a late-night concert to provide some comic relief. 

Primal Scream at Dartmouth:  Dartmouth College also has a "Primal Scream" tradition similar to Harvard's. On the night before exams begin, students gather outside the Dartmouth Hall and scream as loudly as they can to relieve stress and express their solidarity.

Pfoho Hoedown at Harvard:  At Harvard's Pforzheimer House (Pfoho), students organize an annual event called the "Pfoho Hoedown." It involves transforming the house courtyard into a barn-like setting, complete with hay bales and country music. 

Nude Week at Brown:  Brown University is known for its liberal and open-minded culture. As part of their annual "Nude Week," students can choose to attend classes in the nude if they wish. This tradition aims to promote body positivity and challenge societal norms.
