Build your base  The first step for JEE Exam preparation is to form a strong base and that can be done by studying NCERTs. Do not jump on to reference books with the little conceptual and numerical knowledge you have. Instead, begin with the NCERTs. As soon as you complete one chapter, revise it thoroughly within 2-3 hours, not more than that. You can revise properly by practicing the questions from reference books.
