Top 10 Richest States in India By GDP 2023 

Maharashtra – ₹31.98 lakh crore  Maharashtra’s GSDP nominal growth rate was 10.4% in 2021–22. The state has an agricultural and an industrial economy. 

Tamil Nadu – ₹24.85 lakh crore  Tamil Nadu is one of the most industrialized states and one of India’s richest states by GDP. 

Gujarat – ₹22.03 lakh crore  The Gujarat economy is one of the most vibrant and fastest-growing in India. It is the third-largest state economy in the country with a Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP).

Andhra Pradesh – ₹12.01 lakh crore  Andhra Pradesh is one of the southern states of India. It is also one of the largest and most populous states in the country. 

Madhya Pradesh – ₹11.5 lakh crore  The economy of Madhya Pradesh is largely based on agriculture and forestry. Approximately 60% of the state’s population is engaged in agriculture and related activities.
