The Do’s And Don’ts for UGC NET Aspirant

Do not depend on the syllabus  It is difficult to understand the topics to be covered during your preparation. So the general question is: "What is the syllabus for UGC-NET English Literature"? The sad truth to accept at the beginning of your preparation is that there is no syllabus.

Do Read The Previous Year's Question Papers    The best possible way to find the topics that need more attention is by going through the previous year’s questions. If you refer to previous ten-year question papers, you probably don’t have to spend time looking for the syllabus and important writers.

Don’t study YouTube  your notes  90% of YouTube content is used for marketing purposes. Although you will find every topic and information on the writer on YouTube, no channel is organized. Moreover, tons of information can overwhelm you. Resultantly, you might end up in confusion and anxiety. Due to increased screen time, people have lost their ability to focus on one activity for a longer period.

Do Avoid The Trap of New Notifications   It is easy to get distracted by continuous notification of the latest exams such as GATE, TGT, PGT, etc. Every exam has different demands. For example, in some exams, Indian Literature is important, while in other exams, there have been many questions from Criticism and Theory.

Read the complete question first - Candidates are required to avoid the mistake of reading incomplete questions and arriving at incorrect answers eventually. Read the questions carefully and check what is being asked.

Don’t Be Afraid To Face Your Fears your Speed & Accuracy    Over the past few months, I found that many students avoid British poetry. Some called it boring, while others found the poems difficult to analyze.

Ask for Help   For those who decide to do the research on their own by making notes from Sparknotes, Wikipedia, or Gradesaver. You might have mentioned some books in the past. You did whatever you could, but still, you could not clear the exam. So now, you are frustrated and angry, why is it that you worked harder than others, but you failed, and other students passed the test?
