Staying Ahead Of The Game In

IITs

Prepare to take the six-hour paper: You should prepare yourself for the six-hour format. Set your biological clock to match the exam time.

Develop the skills to grade the question: Before attempting the practice paper, read the questions and note down how much time it will take you to solve each question.

Practice, practice, practice: Practice is very important. Pick up question papers from various sources and solve them just like you do in entrance exams.

Focus on small goals to get big results. Take one topic at a time and focus on accomplishing the related target. Once this is done, move on to the next topic of the syllabus.

Give yourself time, and evaluate your progress. Remember, these questions are only to test your understanding of the topic. The question is unlikely to be repeated.

Everything is important: Do not ignore any topic with the belief that it is not important. Each topic leads to another and questions can be asked from any part of the syllabus.

Be constantly engaged in preparation: One must have determination to crack IIT JEE. There will be times when you will find it difficult to understand and manage things. So don't lose heart. Keep preparing.

Make peace: Remember to take enough breaks. Studying in stressful situations amounts to more nervousness. Rest often rejuvenates you and keeps your mind active.

Plan what you need to study, and study what you have planned. Remember, the effort you put in now can change your life. Don't lose focus and don't get stressed.
