6 Indian Cricketers Who Didn’t Finish Their Studie

The God of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar couldn’t complete his schooling after he reportedly failed his HSC exam and started playing for the country at the age of 16.

India’s leading all-rounder in the current era, Hardik Pandya came from humble beginnings and was unable to make it through Class 9 examinations and quit studying after his school started demanding fees (which according to the cricketer, they had agreed to waive off at the beginning).

Unlike Tendulkar, Zaheer Khan did pass the HSC examination and that too with flying colours (83%) and even secured a seat at Pravara College of Engineering.

Be it on the field or in the classroom, Rahul Dravid was equally gifted. After making it through the school, Dravid even completed his Bachelor’s degree in commerce from St. Joseph's college. However, when he got a Team India call during his MBA, he chose the former.

It has been reported that the first Indian skipper to bring home the World Cup trophy in 1983, Kapil Dev had also decided to drop out from his college in order to pursue an athlete’s life.

According to reports, Dhoni either failed or didn’t show up for his semester examinations due to his busy schedule as the Indian cricket captain in 2010 in the first year of his B Com at St Xavier's College, Ranchi.
