Is GATE Exam more difficult than CAT Exam 

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering):

Purpose:  GATE is primarily conducted for admissions to postgraduate programs (M.Tech/MS/Ph.D.) in engineering and technology and is also used for recruitment in PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings). 

Difficulty:  GATE questions are often conceptual and theoretical, testing your understanding of engineering concepts. 

Syllabus:  GATE covers a wide range of topics from the undergraduate engineering curriculum, making its syllabus comprehensive and discipline-specific. 

CAT (Common Admission Test):

Purpose:  CAT is conducted for admission to postgraduate management programs (MBA) in various Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other business schools. 

Difficulty:  CAT questions are aimed at assessing your quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, logical reasoning, and verbal ability. 

Syllabus:  CAT syllabus includes quantitative aptitude, data interpretation and logical reasoning, and verbal ability.
