Select your study materials wisely -  Choosing the suitable study material for preparation is very important for getting the best results in the JEE exams. The JEE preparation study material should include NCERT books, question papers, mock tests, etc.

Avoid reading multiple books -  Don’t read too many reference books. Stick to one good MCQ book or study from a JEE coaching material. NCERT is a good book for chemistry.

Make notes for each chapter -  If you can make handy notes during your preparation of every chapter of the JEE syllabus, it would be easier for you to revise later on, in the last few days leading to the exam.

Clear your doubts regularly -  Accept the fact that you can’t understand and learn everything on your own. Don’t be shy to ask even small doubts from the teacher.

Arrow

Previous year’s question papers -  Gather the JEE Main question papers of the past 5 years and go through them well. This can help students estimate the weightage and type of question for each section of the test paper.

Revise, again and again -  Revision is a continuous process. You may think you have done a particular chapter or topic very nicely, but you won’t be able to retain it unless you read it again. This has to be continued throughout the JEE preparation. Make notes and review them.

Take mock tests frequently to analyze your preparation level -  One of the most necessary skills to crack IIT JEE in the first attempt is time management. Practice online mock tests periodically to manage your time well. With consistent practice, you will be able to learn the pattern of solving questions.
