How to Solve Questions Quickly in IIT JEE

Remember all the formulas of Physics, Chemistry, and Math well. If you take time to recall the formula, you will lose time.

Try to solve options. (Be careful, it’s a risky way. You may end up answering an easy question in the wrong way.) But, it may be useful at times.

Try to get hints from questions and options, which chapter or topic, or concept is asked. Because JEE and NEET will have questions from almost all chapters of the syllabus.

Think of another method to solve the question. It may be a shortcut that might be valid only for that particular question (due to some special symmetry). Such tricks will solve your question in 1 minute instead of 4–5 minutes.

The foremost thing is to stay stress-free and calm before writing the IIT-JEE paper. You are advised to understand the question first and find out the important part of it; then apply your logic and the appropriate formulae.

In the case of Physics, you can filter options by looking at their dimensions. You should be very careful in writing the answers. The method of assumption is a crucial aspect.

If you are 70% sure of an answer, do a little guesswork. Sometimes it works. But it should not be practiced frequently. Changing answers should be avoided. Try to apply reverse engineering to maintain the time.

Develop speed as well as accuracy simultaneously. Try to time yourself. Scan the paper at lightning speed and plan your answering strategy.
