How Important Is Time Management To Crack CMAT 2022

In the CMAT exam, a student needs to solve 100 questions in 180 minutes (125 questions in 210 minutes if he/she has opted for the additional section). Looking at this, one understands the need for time management here.

Along with this, having a rough plan of the time to be allotted per section will help too.

1) General Awareness: Around 15-20 minutes, as one doesn't need to analyze questions here.

2) Quantitative techniques and data interpretation: Around 55-60 minutes, as it involves mathematics and hence mathematics is a time-consuming section.

3) Logical reasoning: Around 55-50 minutes, as it involves Logical Ability concepts and is a time-consuming section.

4) Language comprehension: Around 45-50 minutes as it involves knowledge of English and needs more time than General Awareness, but less than the other two.

5) Innovation and entrepreneurship: This additional section can be tackled in the extra time of 30 minutes given for it.

This is a rough breakup of time management across sections. Please note that a student could add to or subtract from any section based on his/her comfort level.
