Salim Ali (1896 - 1987) - Salim Ali has been a great naturalist of his time. He has played an important role in the development of ornithology. For this contribution, he is also known as 'Birdman of India'. Salim has also made many discoveries regarding ornithology.

Srinivasa Ramanujan (1887 - 1920) - Srinivasa Ramanujan was a great Indian mathematician. He is counted among the greatest mathematical thinkers of modern times. He did not receive any special training in mathematics, yet he made profound contributions to the fields of analysis and number theory.

Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman (1888 - 1970) - Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman was an Indian physicist. He was awarded the prestigious Nobel Prize in Physics in the year 1930 for his outstanding work on the scattering of light. His invention is known by the name of Raman effect after his own name.

Homi Jehangir Bhabha (1909 - 1966)  Homi Jehangir Bhabha was a prominent scientist and visionary of India. He envisioned India's nuclear power program. He started research on nuclear energy in March 1944 with the help of a handful of scientists.

Jagdish Chandra Basu (1858 - 1937) - Dr. Jagdish Chandra Basu was a famous scientist of India. He had deep knowledge of physics, biology, botany and archaeology. He was the first scientist to work on the optics of radio and microwaves.

Satyendranath Bose (1894 - 1974) - Satyendranath Bose is an Indian mathematician and physicist. In physics, two types of molecules are considered - bosons and fermions. Of these, Bosan is named after Satyendra Nath Bose.

Abdul Kalam (15 October 1931) - Abul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, also known as Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, is the eleventh elected President of the Republic of India. He is also known for operating the Indian missiles and nuclear weapons program.

Hargovind Khorana (1922 - 2011) - Hargovind Khorana was an Indian scientist who was awarded the Nobel Prize. He was awarded this award in 1968 for his significant contribution in the field of biochemist.

Meghnad Saha Astrophysicist who developed the Saha equation, which explains chemical and physical conditions in stars.

Har Gobind Khorana Biochemist who won the Nobel Prize in 1968 for demonstrating how the nucleotides in nucleic acids control the synthesis of proteins.
