The National Eligibility Test is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the posts of an Assistant professor or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) every year
For the candidates who are applying for JRF, the upper age limit is 30 years while there is no age limit for the post of Assistant Professor.
UGC NET Paper 1 is compulsory for all the candidates while the candidates need to choose the subject of Paper 2.
The final merit list will be published based on the scores in both papers.
Candidates with a Master’s degree and a minimum aggregate of 55% marks for General Category or 50% marks for SC/ ST category are eligible for UGC NET Exam 2022.
UGC NET exam is conducted by the NTA twice a year to shortlistcandidates for JRF and Assistant Professor in the Colleges and Universities.
