Everything you need to know about UGC NET 2022

The National Eligibility Test is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the posts of an Assistant professor or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) every year

For the candidates who are applying for JRF, the upper age limit is 30 years while there is no age limit for the post of Assistant Professor.

UGC NET Paper 1 is compulsory for all the candidates while the candidates need to choose the subject of Paper 2.

The final merit list will be published based on the scores in both papers.

Candidates with a Master’s degree and a minimum aggregate of 55% marks for General Category or 50% marks for SC/ ST category are eligible for UGC NET Exam 2022.

UGC NET exam is conducted by the NTA  twice a year to shortlist candidates for JRF and Assistant Professor in the Colleges and Universities.

The UGC NET Exam is conducted only for Indian nationals. The aim is to select the best candidates for posts of Assistant professors and Junior Research Fellowships 

The UGC NET Application Form will be released through online mode. The last date of submission is tentatively the last week of April 2022.
