11 Types of Leaves Offered by Companies in India 

Annual Leave 

One of the common types of leave provided by employers working in India is annual leave, otherwise called paid vacation or earned leave. 

Another key type of leave that a firm offers is sick leave. This is for cases where an employee comes ill or injured and requires medical attention. 

Sick Leave 

Casual leave is a less rigid type of leave in a company meant to cater to very short-term personal desires and emergencies.

Female workers are given maternity leave as a fundamental benefit while pregnant and after their children’s delivery. 

Maternity Leave 

In response, some advanced Indian companies are providing daddy’s leave to acknowledge a new family model in contemporary society.

Workers who adopt children are offered this leave so that they have enough time to get acquainted with the newly adopted person in their family.

Paid time off is one of the most common types of leave on the job. PTO refers to a flexible leave system in which all different leaves are combined to form one.

Workers who work overtime or on holiday are given compensatory time off, popularly referred to as Comp Off.
