Juggling School and NEET Coaching Adjusting to going to school and NEET coaching are one of the most common challenges faced by medical students. Students spend half their day in school, and then after coming back home, they have to attend their NEET coaching, which doubles up as homework. But if you make a proper NEET study schedule keeping in mind your school timings then it will become easier. Create a daily timetable with a separate timetable for weekends/holidays and see how things pan out.
Backlogs Another biggest problem faced by NEET students is backlogs. The syllabus is a lot and things become messy when they do complete the NCERT syllabus, by heart supplementarily, solve previous question papers, etc. If you realize that you have piled up backlogs then you should immediately plan out things about how to clear them because delaying will only cause harm to your NEET preparation.
Pay attention to what's currently going on in your classroom just because you have backlogs doesn't mean you should ignore what's currently going on in your classroom. If you keep thinking about the backlog, you'll end up piling things up. So it is better to focus on the ongoing syllabus.
Make a schedule & divide your days accordingly Don’t try to clear two subjects’ backlogs in a day, instead plan out a weekly or monthly schedule, and set dedicated hours for each subject and chapter. Make a list of topics and chapters, and tick them off when you’re done with them.
Be patient It took you months or weeks to have a backlog, do you think you will be able to clear it in just a few days? Be realistic, and give yourself attainable deadlines. Otherwise, you will be exhausting yourself and lose focus.
Not Evaluating Yourself Misses out on self-evaluation. It is an important part when you are preparing for such a highly competitive exam. Whether you are preparing for NEET or any other exam, self-assessment is absolutely necessary. If you don't evaluate yourself, you'll never know how far you've come and if you're headed in the right direction. You will remember the silly mistakes made by you and repeat them during your final NEET exam.
Unable to keep up with the syllabus When students try to study the entire syllabus, try to solve previous question papers, and things go haywire. If you notice that you have backlogs, you must act fast to devise a strategy to clear them, as waiting will affect your NEET preparation. To avoid this problem follow a timetable and start your preparation early.
