7 tips to manage exam anxiety before UPSC prelims 2022

#01

Keep yourself prepared: Reduce anxiety by being properly prepared - although this may seem obvious, it is worth stating. Aspirants will feel more confidence coming into the exam if they know they have adequately prepared.

#02

Solve mock tests to boost confidence: Candidates can have a better notion of the kind of questions that will appear on the test by doing mock examinations.

#03

Make a plan and stick it: Formulating a plan for the organisation and prioritisation of the aspirants' exam preparation journey is crucial. Initially, the targets need to be realistic so that when they are achieved, confidence gets a boost.

#04

Prepare logistics in advance: Unpreparedness and subsequent rushing can just increase anxiety. It is critical to review the final exam schedule so that candidates are aware of when and where they will be taking the exam.

#05

Stay positive, eat well, sleep well: It is imperative for aspirants to remain positive throughout the exam process by treating their mind and bodies with kindness and compassion.

#06

Drink a lot of water: You should drink atleast 2 litres of water to keep yourself healthy. Lack of water causes a havoc in your system if you are working under pressure.

#07

Keep yourself happy: Happiness is a habit and not an effect as most people would like to think. Nothing causes a person to be happy, you are happy because you want to be.
