Course Content -  Before selecting a course of your choice, research about the content in the course modules. The modules go into detail about what the course entails. 

Your Interest -  Choose a course based on what interest you it will help you do well in your course and enjoy your career in the future. Many people go back to school or change course after the semester of study, simply because, the course is boring to them.

Cost of the course -  The cost of the course can vary from course to course. You will need to make sure that you can afford the course, studying and passing can be stressful so you don’t want to be worrying about the cost of the course and living. 

Career Prospects -  You need to understand what career prospects your course offers, You might think studying overseas can be expensive, but it offers many different benefits such as working in a different country and meeting people from different backgrounds. 

Study Destination -  There are many countries in the world that have great qualifications. Depending on your subject area, you can choose to study within the country you are from or perhaps explore other countries. 

Narrow down your options -  Once you have gathered all the information, it is time to narrow down your options to 4 or 5 courses. You should list down the pros and cons of each course, based on the research you have done as well as opinions from your parents and peers. 

You can change your mind -  Choosing the right course is absolutely the most important thing so don't always feel like you can't go back to picking a different course. If you are unsure speak to the guidance counselor because you don't want to spend the next 3 years in a course that doesn't suit your personal and career aspects.
