10 Things Every College Student Should Do in Semester Break

Learn a New Skill to Add to Your Resume -  By learning a new skill, you can impress future employers.

Get an internship -  With a summer internship, you’ll gain insight into your field of study and also beef up your resume.

Work a summer job -  If you’re not interning this summer, there’s no denying you can still find work experience and build your resume with a summer job near your home.

Make a budget -  Make a budget for the next semester so you can keep track of your spending.

Email your professors -  At the beginning of the summer, take the time to send out a few thank you emails to your professors.

Get letters of recommendation -  A great letter of recommendation is both personal and could showcase your talents that can’t be inferred from a resume.

Catch up on reading -  Pick out a New York Times Best Seller, an old classic, or a how-to book to open your mind and learn something new.

Make a Local Bucket List -  If you’re moving away for college, you should try to get into everything you’ve always wanted to do in your hometown.

Take an online summer course - If you want to graduate college early, summer classes can help you knock out some extra credits.

Become a Camp Counselor -  If you like spending time outdoors and/or enjoy spending time caring for and educating kids, you should consider becoming a camp counselor.
