10 Self-Study Tips To Score High in Class 10 Exam 

Understand the syllabus  Analyzing the syllabus. It often happens that students emphasize those topics which are not very important in the exam. In this way, their precious time is wasted. One must go through the syllabus and mark those topics which are frequently asked in the exam. Students can also ask their teachers for help. Remember the 80-20 principle.

Study the Exam Pattern  Students must be aware of the new pattern of examination introduced by the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE). According to the new pattern, the question paper will be based on MCQs, that is, multiple-choice questions. Thus, it is advisable to prepare accordingly. Solve as many MCQs as possible. Make a list of pointers such as factual information and definitions that can be asked in an MCQ format. 

Set your goals and assign a deadline   When we assign a deadline to a task, we are more likely to complete it within the time frame specified. To maintain a procrastination-free learning environment, you can set deadlines for each chapter or even subject.

Use Mixed Study Method   Students can use the Mixed Study Method. It is a scientifically proven method to enhance efficiency. In this method, we need to study 2-3 subjects simultaneously to avoid boredom. For example, when studying History, which is a theoretical subject, you can mix Mathematics with it. 

Make Crisp and Concise Notes   It is not a good idea to re-read the entire book for revision. They can take short and concise notes on all the topics while reading them for the first time. And during the exam students can read these notes instead of reading the book. This will save a lot of time.

Memorize all the important headings The questions are sometimes directly linked to the heading of the subject concerned. There is a question related to a particular topic in your exam. In that case, you can write a general answer to the question even if you don't know the correct answer, provided you remember the title. 

Proper Revision:  The students must revise what they have learned so far in their preparation for class 10th maths. Revision is important otherwise we tend to forget concepts easily if we skip revision. The students must revise at least 3 to 4 times the whole syllabus before the final examination. During revision, the students must give special attention to the topics which hold high weightage.
