Qualification Required for UPSC Recruitment 2023
Applicants must hold a mining engineering bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a reputable university or institution. Applicants will be given preference if they have a Master of Engineering or Master of Technology in Mining Engineering from a reputable university or institution.
Experience For UPSC Recruitment 2023
Candidates should have 02 (Two) years of experience in core Mining activity in-
(a) Supervisory position in Metalliferous (Non-coal) mines which includes the period as graduate or management or Junior Trainee Engineer, or
(b) Government Department dealing with mines and minerals in Level 6 in the pay matrix (Rs 35400- 112400) or above.
Note- (i) The qualification is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
(ii) The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Caste & Scheduled Tribe, if any stage of selection, the Commission believes that a sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
