UPSC CISF Selection Process 2021: Candidates who are applying for the Union Public Service Commission or UPSC CISF exam must know all about the selection procedure for the same. The UPSC CISF selection procedure involves a total of four stages. All of these stages must be qualified by the candidate in order to be posted in the UPSC CISF. UPSC CISF Selection Process 2021

The examination for UPSC CISF assistant commandant is open for the candidates who clear all the stages of the examination. The exam for this post consists of 4 stages which a candidate needs to qualify. These four stages are:

Stage -I: Written-test

Stage -II: Physical efficiency test

Stage-III: Personality Test/ Interview

Stage – IV: Final Merit list

NOTE – ONLY ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES CAN APPLY FOR THE RECRUITMENT EXAM. IF ELIGIBLE, FILL THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM. 

UPSC CISF Selection Process: Round- I

Stage one or round one of the CISF examination consists of another 2 papers. These papers are in the written test of the CISF exam. The two papers are as follows:

Paper-II: Descriptive type

The number of questions which will be asked in paper 1 of the CISF exam will be 200 and the time duration of the paper will be 2 hours. More details are given in the table below:

UPSC CISF Selection Process: Round-II

The Round 2 of the examination will consist of the physical efficiency test and the medical efficiency test. 

The major details of the physical efficiency test are given below:

If the candidates want to be eligible for the physical efficiency test then they have to pass some of the physical standards which are given below.

(d)hearing ability.

The Nodal Authority supervises the Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests. This authority will be appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

UPSC CISF Selection Process: Personality Test/ Interview

This test is given by those candidates who qualify for the physical efficiency test, as well as the medical standards. This stage of the exam will be carrying 150 Marks. A Detailed Application Form (DAF) will be issued to those candidates who are shortlisted in the personality test or the interview. In this Application form, they will be required to shortlist their preference of Forces.

UPSC CISF Selection Process: Final Selection / Merit 

The final merit list or the selection is based on the marks which the candidates have obtained in the previous stages of the exam.

The exam for Union Public Service Commission or UPSC CISF is conducted by UPSC. The candidates who are appearing for this exam must make sure that they get marks above the cut off to be selected for the further rounds of this exam. As per the notification, the cut off is declared by the commission once the exam is conducted and it is declared with the announcement of the result. Candidates who will be appearing for this exam in future must also check the previous year cut off to get an idea of what approximate score they must get in order to qualify.
