UGC NET 2024 Result: The NTA will soon declare the UGC NET 2024 exam dates for the December session. It is expected that the UGC NET 2024 December Notification will also be released soon on the official website. Along with the notification, application form link will also be activated on the official website. The authority has introduced ‘Ayurveda Biology’ as an additional subject in the UGC NET exam from December 2024 onwards to the existing list of subjects of UGC NET. The UGC NET 2024 June Result for the exam conducted from August 21 to September 5, 2024 was declared.

UGC NET 2024 Educational Qualification Requirement

• You must score at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in Post-Graduation or equivalent from any recognized university.
• If you are a Final year student, then you are also eligible to appear in the exam. But you will be accepted for the award of JRF or professorship after passing the Master’s Degree with minimum qualifying marks.
• If you are a Ph.D. degree holder and the post-graduation exam was completed before September 19, 1991, then you are provided with an additional relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks requirement.

UGC NET 2024 Age Limit

• Assistant Professorship: You should know that there is no age limit for UGC NET Assistant Professorship.
• Junior Research Fellowship: The upper age limit is 30 years.
• The age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories candidates as per the government of India norms.

UGC NET Exam Centers

UGC NET Exam will be held in 224 cities this June. You have to choose the four exam cities in order of their preference while filling out the UGC NET 2024 Application Form. NTA will try to allow the UGC NET Exam Centre based on your preference. But it also reserves the right to allot any exam center other than the ones selected by the candidates.

Sometimes, NTA adds or cancels an exam in any city if the number of applicants for that city is negligible. You must bring your Admit Card, one passport-size photo, and an original photo ID proof with its photocopy.

UGC NET Exam 2024: Do’s and Don’ts

You should keep in mind do’s and don’ts with respect to the UGC NET Exam, these are as given below:

Do’s	Don’ts
Fill in all the information correctly in the application form.	Do not try to hide any information asked in the application form. If anyone is found to be ineligible later, then you will not able to appear for the exam.
You have to download the admit card from the website and keep it safe for appearing in the exam.	Do not indulge in any wrong practice. Al the exam center would be under CCTV surveillance.
The candidates must visit the exam center a day before the test date to know the exact location of the exam center.	Do not forget to carry a UGC NET hall ticket or admit card and identity proof etc. to the exam center. Without these, you will not be allowed to enter the examination center.
Reach the exam venue at least half an hour before the commencement of the exam as per the directions given on the admit card.	Do not carry electronic devices such as mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, wristwatches, or any other device as per the instructions to the exam center.
After obtaining the question booklet in the exam room, check all the pages carefully.	Do not waste your time in solving difficult questions first. Start with easy first and then go for tough questions.
Do not leave the room without the permission of the invigilator. After completing the question paper, submit it to the invigilator before leaving the exam hall.	Do not carry any food items inside the exam hall.
