Nationality

A candidate writing the RRB NTPC exam must be of the following nationalities, according to the RRB NTPC eligibility criteria:

• An Indian national
• A subject of Nepal subject
• A subject of Bhutan subject
• A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before the 1st of January 1962 intending to settle permanently in India.
• A person of Indian ancestry who has relocated from Pakistan, Burma, or Kenya in East Africa.

Age Limit

The RRB imposes an upper and lower age restriction for individuals who desire to appear for the RRB NTPC exam, according to the RRB NTPC eligibility requirements. Candidates for the 7th CPC Level -2 and 3 (Under Graduate Level Posts) should be born between the years listed below (both dates inclusive):

However, for the following categories/communities, a relaxation in the upper age limit / maximum upper age is granted, as indicated in the table below, subject to the production of required certificates.

RRB NTPC Eligibility – Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the RRB NTPC test 2023-24 should be aware that the RRB has set several educational requirements based on the position for which they are applying. Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk	12th (+2 Stage) or equivalent with not less than 12th (+2 Stage) or counterpart with not less than 50% in the aggregate. In the case of SC/ST, persons with benchmark disabilities, ex-servicemen, and those with a qualification higher than 12th (+2 stage), 50 percent marks are not required.
Accounts Clerk Cum Typist	12th (+2 Stage) or equivalent with not less than 50% in the aggregate. In the case of SC/ST, persons with benchmark disabilities, ex-servicemen, and those with a qualification higher than 12th (+2 stage), 50 percent marks are not required.
Junior Clerk Cum Typist	12th (+2 Stage) or equivalent with not less than 50% in the aggregate. In the case of SC/ST, persons with benchmark disabilities, ex-servicemen, and those with a qualification higher than 12th (+2 stage), 50 percent marks are not required.
Junior Time Keeper	12th (+2 Stage) or equivalent with not less than 50% in the aggregate. In the case of SC/ST, persons with benchmark disabilities, ex-servicemen, and those with a qualification higher than 12th (+2 stage), 50 percent marks are not required.
Trains Clerk	12th (+2 Stage) or equivalent with not less than 50% in the aggregate. RRB NTPC Eligibility- Physical Fitness

Candidates must pass a physical fitness exam conducted by the Railway Administration to demonstrate that they are medically fit to perform the duties associated with the position they have chosen.
