An advertisement has been issued by Indian Navy regarding engagement of Indian and unmarried fellows for the grant of Permanent Commission (PC) in Executive (GS) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in Executive and Technical Branches of the Indian Navy under University Entry Scheme (UES), for course commencing from June 2016.

Minimum Academic Requirements :
- The fellows should be in the final year (4th or 5th year) in an AICTE approved University with obtained a minimum of 60 % aggregate marks till pre final year in B. E. or B. Tech and VIII semester for 5 year integrated degree course.
- The subject fields are Mechanical, Marine, Aeronautical, Production, Computer Science, Information Technology, Control, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Automobile, Mechtronics, Instrumentation, Production, Metallurgy, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering and Management, Automation and Robotics, Avionics.

Selection Process :
The person will have to first appear before a Naval Campus Selection Team for interview. The persons who qualify this will be shortlisted for SSB interview on the basis of his/her preference for the entry, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria for particular entry. The final selection of Branch/Cadre will be decided by IHQ – MoD (Navy) depending on number of vacancies in particular Branch/Cadre. The person shortlisted during campus interview will be called for SSB interview at Bangalore or Bhopal or Coimbatore or Visakhapatnam between December 15 to April 16.
Salary and Pay Scale :
The persons selected will get an amount of INR 15,600 to INR 39,100 per month.
