NTSE Notification

NTSE Notification 2021: The National Talent Search Examination, or NTSE, is one of India’s most famous and demanding scholarship programs. The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) administers the NTSE exam to students in Class 10 every year. From the last week of July 2021, the NTSE Application Form will be accessible in schools. NTSE Notification 2021: NTSE Exam Dates

In October 2020, the NCERT is scheduled to reveal the NTSE 2021 dates for stage 1 and stage 2. (tentative). All of the dates have been rescheduled because of the current COVID outbreak. Once the official notification from NCERT is released, the exact dates will be posted. Candidates must complete the application forms completely, and it is their responsibility to double-check for errors:

NTSE Notification 2021 for Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in taking the NTSE 2021 exam should meet the NCERT’s eligibility requirements. Nationality, educational qualification, age limit, reservation, and many other factors are among them. Some of these are described in greater depth below:

Nationality 

  1. Applicants for the NTSE 2021 must be citizens of India.
  2. Candidates in the tenth grade in any Indian or international school are also eligible to apply. Indian students studying abroad can take the NTSE stage 2 exam right away.

Qualifications in Education

To be eligible for the NTSE 2021 exam, grantees must achieve a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or an equivalent grade in each academic year.

Age Restriction

The NTSE Stage I test has an upper age limit of 18 years for both Indian candidates and students of Indian origin studying abroad.

How To Apply For NTSE 2021?

You should check newspapers for the NTSE advertisement. You should bookmark this page and check it from time to time. We update all the latest news about NTSE 2021 here.

Once the advertisement is out, you will have to do the following:

  • You should collect the NTSE application form,
  • You have to fill up the application form,
  • You have to get it signed by the Principal of your school,
  • You should make a payment of NTSE application fees,
  • Finally, you should submit your NTSE application form to the State Liaison Officer.

Documents to Be Attached with Application Form According To NTSE Notification 2021

You need to send following documents along with application form.

  • Colored photograph not older than 6 months from the date of form filling.
  • Dark background and no goggles only simple spectacles.
  • No makeup in the photograph clicked for the form.
  • Hair must be properly tied.
  • Photograph must be clicked in school uniform.
  • Indian nationals do not have to produce any document with the application form.
  • Students of Indian origin who are doing class 10 from abroad, have to prove their Indian citizenship, so they have to attach a copy of class 10 marks

Both Stage 1 and Stage 2 of NTSE 2021 will have two papers as tabulated below:

Marking Scheme: You will get one mark after every correct answer. There is no negative marking in NTSE.

Time Duration: You will get 120 minutes for each paper for both NTSE 2019-20 Stage-1 and 2.

Exam Mode: You have to answer the items on an OMR sheet provided at the examination center as per instructions.

There is no specific NTSE 2021 syllabus available. However, the questions are generally coming from the level of Classes IX and X.

The exam pattern is same for both NTSE Stage 1 and Stage 2. In both the stages, there are two sections,

NTSE Notification 2021 for Result & Selection Procedure

NTSE Stage-1 Merit List: Every State/Union Territory publishes a merit list of their own for Stage 1 based on the performance of the candidates in the NTSE 2021 Result.

NTSE Stage-1 Qualifying Marks: Generally, qualifying marks for various category students are given below.

  • For General category students for each of the papers (MAT and SAT) is 40 percent.
  • For SC/ST/physically challenged candidates 32 percent.
