ISRO Recruitment 2023: Check Qualification, Age Limit, And Steps to Apply

ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC) has recently announced a recruitment inviting online applications for Various Posts on its Careers page. There is a total of 63 vacancies available in this recruitment drive. The complex is located at Mahendragiri in Tamil Nadu and is responsible for the research, development, and production of propulsion systems, control systems, and components of launch vehicles and satellites.

Additionally, it carries out R&D and technology development programs for continual improvement of its contribution to the ISRO space program. As per ISRO Recruitment 2023 official notification, applicants may visit the Careers page of the IPRC website from March 27, 2023, 10:00 hrs until April 24, 2023, 16:00 hrs, to submit online applications.

It is important to note that the responsibility to ensure the fulfillment of eligibility criteria and requirements detailed in the advertisement rests with the applicant, and they are advised to carefully read the full advertisement before proceeding with the online application.

As per ISRO Recruitment 2023 official notification, the vacancies announced by IPRC include posts for Technical Assistants in Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Computer Science, and Civil fields, and Technician ‘B’ positions in Fitter, Electronic Mechanic, and Welder trades. The vacancies are open to candidates from various categories such as UR, SC, ST, OBC, and EWS.

The functional requirements and essential qualifications for each post have been mentioned in the notification. It is also essential to note that applicants who are registered under the National Career Services portal and fulfill the eligibility conditions may visit the IPRC Careers page and follow the application procedure. All further communications regarding the online computer-based test/skill test will be sent through email only. Therefore, applicants must furnish their email ID correctly and compulsorily upon online registration.

Age Limit for ISRO Recruitment 2023

As per ISRO Recruitment 2023 official notification, the minimum age required for applying for the posts is 18 years. The maximum age limit for the post of Fireman ‘A’ (Post Code 008) is 25 years as of 24.04.2023, while for all other posts, it is 35 years as of the same date.

However, age relaxation is applicable for certain categories of applicants. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category can avail of a relaxation of up to 5 years, while those belonging to the OBC category can avail a relaxation of up to 3 years if the post(s) is/are reserved for these categories.

In addition, serving government employees, ex-servicemen, persons with benchmark disabilities, widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated from their husbands who are not remarried, and meritorious sportspersons can avail upper age relaxation as per the orders of the Government of India.

Mode of Selection for ISRO Recruitment 2023

As per ISRO Recruitment 2023 official notification, the mode of selection for different posts varies as per the Post Code, as given below:

Post Code 013, 018, 001, 019, 026, 003, 015, 020, 014, 007, 031, 005, 027

For the posts of Technical Assistant/ Technician ‘B’/ Draughtsman ‘B’, the mode of selection includes a Written Test and a Skill Test, which will be curriculum based.

Post Code 010, 030

For the posts of Heavy Vehicle Driver ‘A’/ Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’, the mode of selection includes a Written Test and a Skill Test, which will be a Driving Test.

Post Code 008

For the post of Fireman ‘A’, the mode of selection includes a Written Test and a Skill Test, which will be a Physical Efficiency Test and a Medical Examination.

It is important to note that the final selection will be based on the scores obtained in the Written Test. The Written Test will be conducted online by means of Computer Based Test (CBT) across various cities mentioned in Annexure B. Applicants have to choose their preferred city for CBT while submitting the online application, and this choice cannot be changed later under any circumstance.

The Skill Test will be conducted purely on a ‘go-no-go’ basis, and the marks obtained in the Skill Test will not be considered for the final selection. In case of a tie in the Written Test scores, the academic scores of the prescribed qualification will be considered as the tie-breaker.

How to Apply for ISRO Recruitment 2023

To apply for the various posts advertised by IPRC, candidates need to submit their applications online through the Careers page of the IPRC website. The online application process will begin from 27th March 2023, 10:00 Hrs and will end on 24th April 2023, 16:00 Hrs.

As per ISRO Recruitment 2023 official notification, applicants who are registered under the National Career Services (NCS) portal and meet the eligibility criteria may also apply by visiting the Careers page of the IPRC website and following the application procedure.

It is important to note that the IPRC will not entertain any other form of application, such as physical applications, e-mails, submission of biodata, resumes, CVs, etc.
