Indian Navy Recruitment 2023: Check Qualification, Age Limit, And Steps to Apply

For positions in the executive, educational, and technical branches, the Indian Navy hires candidates. As per the official notification of Indian Navy Recruitment 2023, candidates who are born between 02 Jan 1997 to 01 Jan 2003 can apply for Air Traffic Controller (ATC) and Education department, and candidates who are born between 02 Jan 1999 to 01 Jul 2004 can apply for General Service [GS(X)], Logistics Naval Armament Inspectorate Cadre (NAIC) and Electrical Branch[General Service (GS)] department, candidates who are born between 02 Jan 2000 to 01 Jan 2005 can apply for Naval Air Operations Officer (NAOO) and Pilot department. The Online Application Portal will open on 29.04.2023.

Candidates would receive a base salary of SLt starting at Rs. 56100 along with various allowances as appropriate, according to the official notification of the Indian Navy Recruitment 2023. Short Service Commissions will be given to chosen candidates for an initial term of 10 years, with the option to extend for a total of 04 years over the course of two terms (02 years + 02 years), depending on the candidates’ willingness, performance, and medical eligibility.

Tenure and Probation Period for Indian Navy Recruitment 2023

As mentioned in the Official notification of Indian Navy Recruitment 2023, Selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission initially for 10 years extendable by a maximum of 04 years in 02 terms (02 years + 02 years), subject to service requirements, performance, medical eligibility, and willingness of candidates.

Probation Period

Probation period for SSC (NAIC) Officers is three years and for officers of other branches/cadres is two years. The probation period will commence from the date of grant of the rank of Sub Lt and will terminate after three years for SSC(NAIC) and two years for other branches/cadres or on completion of initial training (whichever is later).

During probation, the officers are liable to be discharged in case of unsatisfactory performance at any stage.

Age Limit for Indian Navy Recruitment 2023
