ICWA CMA Exam 2021: The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), formerly known as The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants, conducts CMA exams (CMA). The exams are held twice a year, in June and December, by the Institute of Cost Accountants, also known as ICMAI. The ICAI was founded with the goal of promoting and regulating the profession of cost and management accounting in India. It provides the following courses at various levels:

  • CMA Foundation course
  • CMA Intermediate course
  • CMA Final course

CMA Exam Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who desire to pursue CMA’s courses should begin by enrolling in the Foundation courses after completing their 12th grade.

CMA Foundation course

Candidates passing Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board of education are eligible to take the CMA foundation exam. However, with class 10th qualification, candidates can take admission in the course.

CMA Intermediate course

Candidates passing class 12 or equivalent examination and Foundation course of CMA are eligible for the CMA Intermediate course.

OR

Candidates who hold a graduation degree in any discipline other than performing arts are eligible for the intermediate course registration.

OR

Candidates who have qualified ICSI Foundation Examination/Inter CA Examination/qualified CAT CMA

CMA Final course

Candidates who have qualified both groups of CMA Intermediate exam are eligible for the enrollment into final course.

CMA Admission Process 2021

Step 1: Fill in the CMA Application form

Candidates must complete the CMA Application Form by the deadline for each term. Before filling out the CMA 2021 Application Form, candidates should review the qualifying requirements for each course. The CMA Application Form is only available in an online format. Candidates must pay the application cost for their course; else, the institute will not accept their application. Each course’s application fee is:

Step 2: Download CMA Admit Card

Candidates who enrol for CMA courses and submit an application form will be issued admit cards to appear in the examination.

  • At least a week before the CMA exam, the admit card will be available.
  • Candidates can get their admit cards in an online mode only at the official website.
  • Candidates must enter their Registered ID and password for CMA examinations in order to download the admit card.

Step 3: Appear for CMA

Candidates have to appear for the examinations as per the exam timetable for each course.

  • The exam timing for each course will also be listed on the candidates’ admit cards.
  • Candidates must attend CMA exams remotely proctored from their residences.

Step 4: Check CMA Result

Within 60 days of the examination, the institute will announce the Results of CMA courses.

  • The results will be released on the official website of ICMAI only.
  • By logging in with their Roll Number/Registration Number and Password, candidates can check their CMA results.
  • Candidates who achieve the minimum qualifying marks for each paper will be deemed pass and will be entitled to enrol in the next course or graduate as a CMA (after the final course).
