GATE 2025 – IIT Roorkee has extended the GATE 2025 application form correction facility to November 20, 2024. The GATE 2025 application form correction link is available on the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Candidates can use the GATE 2025 application form correction to make changes to their category, paper, examination city, and other personal details, as well as to add a new test paper. The authority has also activated the GATE 2025 mock test link online. The Aspirants who have applied for the exam before the deadline will be able to download the GATE admit card from January 2, 2025. The authority will conduct the GATE exam on February 1, 2, 15 and 16, 2025.

  • Any Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology and those who are in the final year.
  • Any Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture and those who are in the last year.
  • All Bachelor’s degree holders of Four-year program in Science (B.S.) and those who are in the final year of such programs.
  • All MSc/Ms/MCA degree holders in or equivalent and last year students.
  • Holders of Four-year Integrated Master’s degree (Post B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology and who are in the higher year.

GATE Enrolment Process

  • Registration – You can register through GOAPs, i.e. https://gate.iitd.ac.in. Fill all details like name, email id, and mobile number for registration and generate enrolment id.
  • You have to change the password for the future login. 
  • Filling of GATE Application Form – After registration, a completed application form will appear. Fill the application form correctly and choose the preferred exam centres.
  • Uploading Images – Now upload photograph, signature and category certificate (if applicable). 
  • Fee Payment – Pay application fees online through net banking/debit card/credit card. 
  • Application Form Submission – Now submit your application form. 
  • Download and printout the application form for future use.

  1. There are 24 Papers in GATE Exam. You can appear only in any ONE PAPER.
  2. GATE Exam is entirely online.
  3. The application process is also online. You have to fill online application from their site and upload required.
  4. GATE 2022 would be the first of the GATE exam with seats reserved for EWS (Economical Weaker Section) aspirants.
  5. As per the Central Government Amendments, 10% of seats in addition to the existing reservation would be reserved for EWS aspirants.

IIT Roorkee has released the updated list of GATE exam centres 2025 on the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The GATE exam centres include the names of the cities where the GATE 2025 exam will be held. Candidates can check the complete list of exam centres for GATE 2025 online. The GATE exam centres are divided into 8 IIT zones. There are 238 exam centres of GATE 2025. Candidates have to select three GATE exam centres as per their preference while filling out the application form. However, the exam authorities will allot the GATE test centres on first-cum-first-serve basis. International GATE Exam Centers 2025

GATE 2025 will not be conducted at any of the International GATE Exam Centers 2025.  Instead, international students will be able to appear for GATE 2025 at cities in India.

Earlier, GATE exam was also conducted in various international countries such as Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UAE, Nepal, and Singapore. The application fee also varied for candidates opting for international GATE exam centers. The section below covers the details about International GATE Exam Centers that were earlier used to conduct GATE exam for international applicants. 

  • Only a valid Passport/Government issued ID/College ID/Employee ID will be accepted as the recognized identification.
  • For foreign nationals, reservation categories (SC/ST/PWD/Women) are not applicable for concession in application fees.
  • The session timings of GATE International Test Centers as per their local time will be notified in advance.
  • GATE Registration for international applicants will remain the same as that of Indian candidates.
  • Candidates will be contacted only through their emails. For important information, they will be contacted through their mobile numbers.

How to Choose GATE Exam Centers 2025?

Candidates must select GATE Exam Centers 2025 from the given list while filling GATE 2025 Application Form. Not more than three examination centers can be selected by candidates during the application process. Some of the most important points regarding GATE Exam Centers 2025 and the process to select those centers are mentioned below n details-

  • The first and second exam centers must be from the same GATE zone. 
  • The third choice of GATE Exam Center can be from any zone.
  • After filling in all the details, candidates have the option to select the GATE exam center.
  • They will have to select the exam center from the given list of cities.
  • Candidates can select any one of the centers, keeping in mind their nearest cities as per their convenience.
  • Allotment of the examination centers will be done on a first-apply-first-allotment basis.
  • After selecting the exam centers, complete all the required details, and make payment.
  • Candidates who register successfully will be able to download their GATE 2025 admit card which includes details on the allotted exam center along with the date and time of the exam. 

Note that due to operational constraints, the GATE committee reserves the right to add a new city or remove an existing one. It can allot a city that may not be included in the choices of the candidates. Whichever center is allotted to the candidate, will be mentioned in the GATE Admit card along with the center details. 

How to Change GATE Exam Center 2025?

In the GATE 2025 Application Form, candidates can change their exam city by sending a request to the exam conducting authorities. Only through the official website of GOAPS, the request will be sent. Registered candidates who want to change the name of the exam city, must pay an amount as the additional fee to complete the entire process.

All the candidates are required to clearly state the reason to the authority why they want to change the exam center.

  • Only through the online mode, the additional fee payment will be accepted.
  • All the candidates need to pay the fee for an amount of INR 400 against each change in GATE 2025 application form.
