Education Qualification in Details For Research Associate Post:
You should have a Ph.D. from a recognized university/Institute in Remote Sensing/Computer Science/Electronics and Communication, with at least one research paper in Science Citation indexed (SCI) Journal.
Or, you should have M.Tech with first division in Remote Sensing/Computer Science/Electronics and Communication with three years research or teaching experience with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal.
Desirable: (i) You should have working experience of snow, avalanche, and glacier related research work. (ii) Proficiency in using GIS and Remotes Sensing based software’s (ERDAS, ArcGIS, ENVI, QGIS, etc.). (iii) Knowledge of geo-spatial modeling techniques.

(i) Good Working knowledge of different Remote Sensing & GIS software’s (e.g., ERDAS, ArcGIS, ENVI, etc.). (ii) Experience of fieldwork, preferably in snow/glacier regions. (iii) Good working knowledge of Hyperspectral technology, Geospatial modeling, etc.
- Computer knowledge.
- Desirable: (i) Exposure/good working knowledge of different Remote Sensing & GIS Software’s (e.g., ERDAS, ArcGIS, ENVI, etc.). (ii) Good working knowledge of SAR technology, Geo-spatial modeling, etc. (iii) Experience of fieldwork, preferably in glaciers. (iv) NET/GATE qualified.
