CTET Subjects: The Central Teaching Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level examination. It is conducted twice a year in July and December. It is conducted to certify the eligibility of candidates to be appointed as teachers at the Primary and Upper Primary levels.

CTET Subjects List 2023
You should know that there are two Papers in CTET Exam, i.e., Paper 1 and Paper 2. In the CTET exam syllabus 2023, you will find various subjects as given below,

- Social Science
You should keep in mind that the exam is divided into two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2.
- To become a teacher of classes 1–5: You need to take Paper 1,
- To become a teacher of classes 6-8: You need to take Paper 2.
- To become a teacher of all classes, i.e., 1-8: You need to appear for both Paper 1 and 2.

Subject Wise CTET Exam Pattern 2023
The CTET Exam Pattern is following the earlier versions because no significant changes have been made. It is necessary to follow a Paper pattern and when you do that you will be prepared to face any challenges that come your way. As you already know there will be a total of two papers (Paper I and Paper II).
The exam will be conducted in English and the candidates who are not comfortable in English can easily appear for CTET 2023 in Hindi. You will have to answer MCQs and you will get 1 mark for each right answer. There is no negative marking and for this reason, you must take a chance. Candidates will be provided 2:30 hours to try both papers independently. CTET Child Development Pedagogy
Child Development and Pedagogy are based on the educational psychology of teaching. It also includes learning relevant to the students between the ages of 6-11 years for Paper 1 and 11-14 years for Paper 2. The main focus is given on understanding the characteristics and requirements of the attributes and qualities of a good provider of learning, diverse learners, and interaction with learners.

CTET Language I / Language II
Candidates have the freedom to select two languages for language 1 and language 2 of the CTET exam. While filling out the application form, candidates have to select any two languages as per their choice. The list of available languages for CTET is provided along with their codes:

- Language I is based on those proficiencies which are related to the language or medium of instruction.
