Coca-Cola is currently seeking an experienced Associate Manager for Value Chain and System Economics at their Gurugram location. The main responsibility of this role is to aid in the ongoing development of value chain economics for The Coca-Cola Company throughout India and Southwest Asia. The duties of this role include utilizing and enhancing the company’s exclusive value chain economics tool to provide crucial business insights and generate potential financial statements for The Coca-Cola Company, its bottling partners, and major competitors.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong desire to learn and work in a fast-paced team, paying close attention to detail, and continuously refining their work through analysis, collaboration, and iteration. This position reports to the Senior Director of Financial Planning and Competitive Insights.

Job Description

The following are the key points for the job position of Associate Manager, Value Chain and System Economics at Coca-Cola’s Gurugram location:

  • Conduct value chain economics analysis and benchmarking.
  • Evaluate the financials of bottling partners and generate long-term forecasts for their financial health.
  • Assist in annual business planning, long-range financial planning, performance management, enterprise risk management, and scenario planning processes.
  • Aid in the development of RGM (Revenue Growth Management) strategy through analysis of brand, packaging, channel, and pricing.
  • Collaborate with competitive insights and financial planning teams to create a comprehensive view of business performance and opportunities.
  • Assess the potential risks and opportunities for long-term value creation and sharing for The Coca-Cola System and its bottling partners.
  • Work cross-functionally with strategy, marketing, operations, and commercial teams to provide critical insight and drive business strategy and growth.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to key stakeholders and senior management.
  • Continuously improve processes, approaches, and deliverables.

Qualifications for this Job

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience; Master’s Degree, CA, CFA or related a plus.

Related Work Experience:  3+ Years’ of financial planning, insights, or other relevant finance-related experience

Revalidation – Test and reaffirm assumptions and hypotheses that serve as the basis for a strategic business opportunity.

Network Best Practices – Improve and optimize business operations by applying internal and external learnings.

Financial & Business Acumen – Understand core business and financial concepts and the connectivity of each to business strategy and competitive landscape.

Descriptive & Predictive Analytics – Utilize data science tools and infrastructure to derive meaningful, actionable insights that inform decision-making processes.

Data-Driven Storytelling – A creative way of consolidating data, analyzing for insight, and translating it into a clear and compelling story.

Responsibility

  • Perform value chain economics analysis and related benchmarking.
  • Design processes and deliverables to support the development and execution of business strategy through detailed, comprehensive end-to-end value chain economics for The Coca-Cola Company, its bottling partners, and key competitors.
  • Integrate value chain analysis and insights into annual business planning, long-range financial planning, performance management, enterprise risk management, and scenario planning processes to ensure a comprehensive view of business performance and opportunity in partnership with competitive insights and financial planning teams.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with data architecture standards and champion development and improvement of proprietary value chain economics tools.
  • Steward process development and improvement with shared services organization and other business partners.
  • Evaluate opportunities for and risks to long-term value creation and sharing for The Coca-Cola System and its bottling partners.
  • Maintain aligned approach with strategy, marketing, operations, and commercial teams while providing critical insight to drive business strategy and growth and serve as subject matter expert to key stakeholders and senior management.
  • Continual improvement of processes, approaches, and deliverables.
