Select the Right Pen– Sometimes, the secret to good handwriting is hidden in your pen. When answering CBSE sample papers or taking down notes in class, try using different pens – gel, ink, ball pens.
Write Straight, not Cursive– When answering CBSE examinations, try to separate each letter in a word. When handwriting becomes cursive, words become overlaid, and difficult to read.
Get Feedback: – Ask for feedback from others or compare your handwriting to examples of neat handwriting. Identify areas that need improvement and focus on them during your practice sessions.
Use Lined Paper– In the exam halls when answering CBSE Board exams, the students are provided with lined paper. Using lined paper often helps to keep the words in order and improve the handwriting.
Do not Land Your Hand– Keep your hand lightly resting on the paper. Make sure when you write, your forearm and shoulder are moving and not sitting heavily against your wrist. This will give your hand the freedom to move.
Do not tightly Clasp the Pen– Hold your pen lightly. The tighter you hold it, the more effort you require, and the more your hand will tire. A typical CBSE paper is two and a half hours long.
Practice Your ABCs– When sitting down to write your notes and mock test answer sheets, do relax and practice writing random letters. The more you write, the more practice your hand will get.
Slow Down– When you are writing, do not be in a hurry to finish. Not only will you increase the chances of making careless mistakes or spelling errors, your handwriting will also suffer.
