It is expected that the UGC NET 2024 December Notification will also be released soon on the official website. The authority has introduced ‘Ayurveda Biology’ as an additional subject in the UGC NET exam from December 2024 onwards to the existing list of subjects of UGC NET. The UGC NET 2024 June Result for the exam conducted from August 21 to September 5, 2024 was declared.

UGC NET 2024 Educational Qualification Requirement

  • You must score at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in Post-Graduation or equivalent from any recognized university.
  • If you are a Final year student, then you are also eligible to appear in the exam. But you will be accepted for the award of JRF or professorship after passing the Master’s Degree with minimum qualifying marks.
  • If you are a Ph.D. degree holder and the post-graduation exam was completed before September 19, 1991, then you are provided with an additional relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks requirement.

UGC NET 2024 Age Limit

  • Assistant Professorship: You should know that there is no age limit for UGC NET Assistant Professorship.
  • Junior Research Fellowship: The upper age limit is 30 years.
  • The age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories candidates as per the government of India norms.

UGC NET Exam Centers

UGC NET Exam will be held in 224 cities this June. You have to choose the four exam cities in order of their preference while filling out the UGC NET 2024 Application Form. You should keep in mind do’s and don’ts with respect to the UGC NET Exam, these are as given below:

Fill in all the information correctly in the application form.

Do not try to hide any information asked in the application form. If anyone is found to be ineligible later, then you will not able to appear for the exam.

You have to download the admit card from the website and keep it safe for appearing in the exam.

Do not indulge in any wrong practice. Al the exam center would be under CCTV surveillance.

The candidates must visit the exam center a day before the test date to know the exact location of the exam center.
