TET or Super TET: A Step Towards A Bright Future

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) - 

The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is the minimal requirement in India for someone to be qualified for an appointment as a teacher in any school. 

Eligibility - 

Candidates must meet all of the required eligibility requirements, including the age restriction and educational requirement 

Syllabus  

The TET consists of two exams: Each Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) in the TET test carries one mark and has four possible answers. There will be no negative marking. 

Exam Pattern 

Typically, there are 150 objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) totaling 150 points on the TET test. 

Super TET 

The secondary level Super TET test is administered by UPBEB. Only those applicants who have passed the CTET or UPTET are eligible to take this test. 

Eligibility 

The eligibility criteria also differ in both TET and Super TET. Super TET is a masters level exam therefore age barriers and requirements will be higher compared to TET. 

Syllabus 

The applicants must be conversant with the subjects and the topics to be covered under each subject to score higher than the cut-off marks.  

Selection Process 

A candidate can only appear for Super TET after he clears the UPTET exam. The process of selecting candidates for the position of assistant teacher will take place in stages.
