CAT is a common aptitude test designed to assess an MBA aspirant's business aptitude and reasoning, analytical, English skills. Check below key highlights of CAT 2023.

– Bachelor's degree with minimum 50 per cent aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45 per cent aggregate for SC, ST and PWD/DA category) from a recognised university. – Candidates with professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA) with the required percentage can also appear for CAT.
CAT application forms will be available in online mode only at iimcat.ac.in website. Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be allowed to apply.
Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC) : Reading Comprehension, Para Jumbles, Para Summary and Odd Sentence Out Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) : Set Theory (Variables), Set Theory Puzzles, Puzzles with Additional Data, Coding-Decoding and Series Quantitative Aptitude (QA) : Number System, Algebra, Arithmetic, Geometry and Mensuration
The CAT question paper is divided into three sections: VARC, DILR and Quantitative Aptitude. Majority of the question in CAT are MCQ type. A few VARC and QA questions require candidates to type in the answer. CAT exam is usually of moderate to high difficulty level.
CAT 2023 preparation should start at least nine months in advance. Candidates who are planning to appear for the CAT 2023 exam, must start studying from February-March. One needs to keep ample time for CAT because it is one of the toughest MBA entrance exams in India and its preparation helps in cracking other MBA entrance exams too as the syllabus of all exams is same.
