Never think about how the exam will be and also dont stress yourself during the exam.. Recall about something related to the things you have learnt earlier in a calm mind.

Solve previous year GATE question papers keeping 3 hrs duration just as the real GATE exam. Try to do it in the same time slot allotted to you for GATE.

You might be having very high expectations about your performance like – ‘ I have to get a rank below 50’ or ‘I have to score this much’. But just one day before the exam, bring those expectations down. There is nothing much you can do in that single day which you couldn’t do till then. Imagine the worst that could happen say- ‘You don’t qualify at all’. Try to get comfortable with that thought by planning your other alternatives like – ‘I’ll write it next year’, ‘I’ll attend interviews for direct Ph.D. in IITs’. After all, it’s not a life and death situation. Think like – ‘I’ll give my best shot. If everything goes fine, well and good. Otherwise, it’s not the end of the world. I have many other options. I’ll pursue them.’ This will help you calm down.
