To join the Merchant Navy in India, you must meet the eligibility criteria of having a 10+2 or graduate degree in a relevant field

If you want to join the navy after completing class 10th, you must obtain at least 40% marks in the 10th standard and fulfill other conditions

You can join a pre-sea GP rating course after 10th or 12th standard in India in order to join as a rating. This is a one-year course followed by mandatory training

The pay Scale for a Navy Officer at the early stage starts from a package of 3-4LPA and in the mid level goes to 4-5LPA before getting stagnant at 8-9LPA for a senior Officer.
