One-Month Revision Plan for the AFCAT candidate

Solve the Previous Years’ Papers - If you’re appearing for the AFCAT 2023 exam, then now is the right time to take up at least one paper each day until the day of the exam. This will not only condition you to the setting and pressure of the examination but also help you solve the test within a given time frame. Taking one test a day should be a religious practice.

Prepare according to weightage - The idea is to attempt the sections that have more importance first during the AFCAT revision process. This will improve your performance in those sections. For example, if you are good in English, you can work hard to get a perfect score by marking 30 Verbal Ability questions correctly, which will help you clear the cut-off.

Prepare Sticky Notes - Studying from complete and detailed AFCAT study material is not the wisest idea. The motive with subjects like GK which requires retention of facts and maths which requires retention of formulas is to provide information to your brain. Adopting tricks for memory retention is the prime goal. So, you can stick colored sticky notes, which will act as a catalyst in remembering what you have learned.

Follow a timetable – no section should be neglected and you should not just stick to your favorite topics while doing AFCAT revision. As studies show, the human brain can concentrate for only 45 minutes at a stretch. This means that you should take breaks in between for better retention of what you read. Breaks should be of maximum 5-10 minutes as a long break period will distract you from studies.

Maintain motivation - Demotivation creeps in during the last few days and it will disable your concentration level. To help with this, you can either talk to a mentor who can act as a motivator or watch videos of various motivational speakers. If you appreciate bombastic words, then fancy quotes that keep the fire burning inside you can help. Whenever you sit to study, sit with a right mind and only then your efforts can prove fruitful in AFCAT Exam.

Candidates should prepare notes for all the topics so that they can revise all the topics and formulae before appearing for the exam. They should focus on solving previous years' questions papers of AFCAT. All the candidates are advised to take proper rest while preparing for the exam.

They should plan in such a way that all the topics are covered. Candidates will have to answer 100 questions in 120 minutes. But they should develop their time management skills. It is important to know the type of questions asked in the previous year of the exam so that one can know what to expect.
