Everything you need  to know about SNAP 2022

What is SNAP? -  Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a national-level MBA entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU) for admission to management programmes offered by its affiliated institutes and several other private B-schools. SNAP is held once a year in the month of December/January. 

What is the structure of SNAP? -  SNAP is a computer-based test consisting of three sections. In 2020, the time limit for SNAP was reduced from 2 hours to 1 hour and the number of questions changed from 110 to 60.  

Syllabus for SNAP 2022 -  Although there is no specified syllabus for SNAP, we have jotted down certain topics based on their frequent appearance in the exam. Given below is an overview of SNAP syllabus 2022: General English: As displayed in the above table, the English section of SNAP primarily focuses on Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, and miscellaneous topics of Verbal Ability. Usually, there are two RC passages in SNAP, accompanied by mostly direct questions. 

Analytical & Logical Reasoning: -  This section consists of questions that test your analytical and problem-solving capabilities. These questions are drawn from common reasoning topics like arrangements, syllogisms, analogies, coding-decoding, etc. There are also questions from visual and critical reasoning. 

Quantitative Ability: -  This part comprises questions from basic concepts of mathematics. The most important areas include arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data interpretation, and data sufficiency. 

When is SNAP conducted? -  SNAP is conducted in December/January every year. The registrations for the exam begin in August and continue till November. In 2022, the candidates are allowed to take the exam thrice, and the best of the scores were considered for admission. SNAP application form has to be submitted online, and alongside, you can apply for your desired MBA programmes in respective institutes. 

Who can appear in SNAP? -  The eligibility criteria for SNAP have remained same all through the years. Candidate must be a Graduate from a recognised/statutory University with a minimum of 50% marks in any discipline (45% for SC/ST).  

Which Institutes accept SNAP scores? -  The affiliated colleges of Symbiosis International University (SIU) accept SNAP scores. SIU counts among the top-ranked educational institutions of India. It has more than 40 related institutes spread across several cities, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Indore, Nashik, etc. Out of these, 15 institutes offer MBA programmes based on SNAP scores.
