How do I prepare for the General Knowledge Olympiad? 

This exam is held for Class 1 to 10 students. They can prepare for the General Knowledge exam along with their regular study. In General Knowledge, some of the topics from science, social science, and other subjects are common with their academic syllabus. Make an Outline

First of all, students should go through the General Knowledge syllabus and identify the topics that need to be studied. Highlight or note down the topics that have been studied so that they are aware of the topics that need to be studied.

General Knowledge Olympiad is an exam of GK which includes current affairs as a separate section. So, students should read newspapers daily to stay updated with all the current affairs. Also, read weekly and monthly current affairs books and these books will aid you to revise the major current affairs of the week or month. 

Make Charts and Sticky Notes 

While studying students should highlight important points and make short notes. Make charts and sticky notes on important topics and points. Paste them on the nearest wall where it will be much visible to revise while doing any other activity. This is the best trick to keep things remembered for long. 

Follow SOF Prescribed Books 

Students should follow the SOF prescribed books for the General Knowledge Olympiad exam. SOF has prescribed around 5 books for each class student. These books can be downloaded as PDF files. 

Solve Sample Papers 

Students should solve General Knowledge Olympiad sample papers and previous years' papers to practice with various questions. Thus, they will come to know the types of questions asked in the exam and they can prepare accordingly. 

Be Calm and Relaxed

Last but not least, students should remain calm and relaxed. as it can make them miss out on the topics they have studied and create confusion about dates, key points, and other things. Keep a water bottle nearby while you read and stay hydrated to keep your mind fresh.
