How Should The First Day Of College Be?

DO Wear your best outfit -  Wear your best outfit. You don’t have to be dressed to the nines, but it always helps to look well turned out.

DON’T Over prepare -  Even if it’s just stationary or books make sure that you’re not carrying too many things in your backpack In all likelihood, you won’t have much to do on your first day.

DO Polish up your social skills - Most people are apprehensive about approaching people on the first day of class. And so, here’s a neat trick – approach the ones that alone

DON’T Be late -  Being early to your first class will allow you to have some breathing space, and will give you time to mentally prepare you for your first day of coursework.

DO Carry snacks -  Most people don’t take kindly to the humble food arrangements made by the college canteen and so, carrying a few snacks with you always help. Not to mention, it is a sure shot way of attracting a few potential friends.

DON’T Hesitate to explore your surroundings -  Since you won’t have a lot of studying to do, you will have plenty of time to explore your surroundings.

Start The Day Before -  There are several ways to prepare for day one ahead of time. One simple tip is to check your email to see if your professors have sent a message about the syllabus, what to bring on the first day, or even just to welcome you to their class.

After Class -  After your first class, you should take some time to consider if it's a class you really want to take. Not every class is a right fit for every student, and it's better to consider switching to something else early instead of putting in less effort and possibly getting a bad grade.
