How to get into IIT? A-Z Guide

Appear for the JEE (Main) examination. Question paper will contain 90 questions in which you will have to attempt a total of 75 questions.

Step-I

Appear for the JEE-Advanced examination. You can appear for the JEE -Advanced examination if your score above the minimum cut-off score or different categories of students.

Step-2

Obtain All India Rank (AIR). Aggregate marks of Physics, Chemistry and Maths are considered. 

Step-3

Allocation of seats at the different IITs through a common process by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

Step-4

You will be eligible if you have either passed class 12th or equivalent examination in one of the previous two years of the year in which the JEE (Main) is being conducted
