sample, to estimate the moisture content in coal by Dean-Stark’s method, to estimate the amount of nitrogen in solid
fuels by Kjeldahl’s method, to determine smoke point and Rid vapor pressure of oil. To determine the swelling
index of coal, to determine the ash content of liquid fuel. Proximate analysis of coal, to determine the carbon residue
number of oil. To find out the calorific value of the flue gas by Junker’s method, to find out the calorific value of
solid fuel by Bomb calorimeter.
