The 8051 Architecture, Interfacing And Programming by Dr. J. A. Bangali, S. R. Chaudhari, Dr. M. L. Dongare, Dr. P. B. Buchade
Book Summary:
We have great pleasure to present this text book for S. Y. B. Sc. Computer Science in subject Electronics. The course for Semester - II, Paper I The 8051 Architecture, Interfacing and Programming as per syllabus of Savitribai Phule Pune University is discussed in this book. We have taken sincere efforts to give complete knowledge of the subject.
In the era of computer science and applications, it is necessary to know the advanced technology used today. To understand the advanced electronic systems, it is essential to learn about the microcontrollers. So, the architecture of basic microcontroller 8051 and its interfacing with external devices along with its programming is discussed thoroughly in this chapter. Further, the features of advanced microcontrollers are also added as the last part of this book. It will help the students to understand the applications of embedded systems and its programming concepts. Students of S.Y.B.Sc. (Computer Science) will get programming and hardware knowledge of embedded system through this course.
In unit one, architecture of 8051 microcontroller, its I/O parts and memory interfacing is discussed with proper illustrations. Programming model of 8051 along with the interfacing of LED and seven segment display is explained in unit two. The timer/counter and interrupt programming of 8051 is explained with the help of examples in unit three. The unit four deals with the interfacing of ADC, DAC, LCD, stepper motor and features of advance micro controllers (ARM & PIC).
