Physical Geography (Lithosphere & Hydrosphere)

The study of Geography has got unprecedented importance in the recent times. Though the technical and applied branches. But still the study of Physical Geography is equally important for getting the physical information. This book is specially prepared for the students of F.Y.B.Sc. class (C.B.C.S.) of North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. It is also useful for the syllabi of other universities. This book contains the information regarding the Physical elements.

The book has been divided in two sections. The first sections deal with the Physical Geography of Lithosphere: Weathering, Work of river, Work of wind and Work of Sea Waves etc. are the chapters included in the section. The Second section consists of the chapters Physical Geography of Hydrosphere: Indroduction to Hydrosphere, Properties of ocean water, Oceanic waves, Ocean currents, Marine deposites and Coral reefs.

In the preparation of this book, I got encouragement and support from Chairman of B.O.S. Dr. V. J. Patil, All member of BOS K.B.C.N.M. University, Jalgaon and my dear friend Dr. Chandrashekhar Kulkarni. Together we shared valuable time and ideas needed for the preparation of this book. I shall not extend formal thanks to him but remain sincerely indebted to him.

My father Baburao Vitthal Patil and mother Indubai Patil have blessed me and given emotional supported that is needed in such a task. I must mention about the cooperation I received from my wife Mrs. Sadhana, and my dear children Atul and Chetan. I am thankful to them.
