It is with great gratitude towards all students and teachers for always extending such an overwhelming response, support and acceptance to our various co-authored books on Pharmaceutical Chemistry, (and in particular, Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry), we now endeavor to add this one entitled “A PRACTICAL BOOK OF PHARMACEUTICAL ORGANIC CHEMISTRY” as per the new syllabus by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) implemented from A.Y. 2017-18 for the students of F.Y. and S.Y.B. Pharm.
This book is essentially written in a simple, lucid and user-friendly manner so that the students understand the basic concepts of working in a chemistry laboratory, including the safety, to start with. Thereafter, the systematic analysis of a variety of organic compounds, their functional groups identification and characterization, as well as, the organic syntheses of prescribed compounds are explained in a simplified manner so that they gain in confidence, day by day.
