Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry Simplified by Dr. K. S. Jain, Dr. P. B. Miniyar, Dr. K. Ilango
Book Summary:
Great gratitude is expressed towards all students and teachers for such a great response and acceptance for our four text books, on Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry for F.Y. B.Pharm (Sem. I & II) & for S.Y.B.Pharm. (Sem. III & IV), published by Nirali Prakashan and whose 1st editions are now published. We are indeed enthralled and encouraged to undertake the drafting of yet another book entitled “A Text book of Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry- Simplified” for F.Y. B.Pharm. as per PCI syllabus in a much simple but, concise manner.
The history and importance of Inorganic Chemistry is much older than Organic chemistry. Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry deals with inorganic compounds as pharmaceutical agents. However, in the curriculum of pharmaceutical sciences not many standard and quality textbooks are available on this subject, albeit with an exception of a few by foreign authors. As the subject is relegated mostly to the first year, where students are fresh and not much conversant with text books authored by foreign writers, the dearth for quality texts by native authors is surely observed. Thus, the need was felt to provide a textbook on this subject in simple, lucid language but, in concise manner.
