This work book is the second in the Bhasha Tarini series which is prepared for grade 9 as per the new I.G.C.S.E. syllabus. In the first part there are comprehension exercises covered along with grammar and vocabulary exercises which can help the students in developing a good vocabulary base while practising the reading comprehension. Summary writing, short notes exercises and multiple matching comprehension are also included so that all the required skills get adequate practice. It may be noted that the form filling exercise and the comprehension (true or false) have been removed from the question paper and instead multiple matching and functional prose are added. Short notes and summary writing have been designed to be based on the same passage. Seeing all these changes necessary amendments are made in this work book.

As it is mentioned earlier this workbook focuses on the changes prescribed by the CIE syllabus which will be offered from March, 2019 in India. The students are expected to revise the general vocabulary given in Bhasha Tarini grade 8 so that they are able to use and practice in grade 9.
