The IBPS conducts clerk exam in two levels- Preliminary and Mains. Candidates who qualify both the stages will be selected for the post. According to IBPS Official Calendar 2018-19, IBPS Clerk 2021 Prelims exam is scheduled on 07.12.2021, 08.12.2021, 14.12.2021 & 15.12.2021 and mains exam is scheduled on 25.01.2021. IBPS will be releasing the Official Notification for IBPS Clerk 2021 exam shortly. Once the notification is released, the IBPS Clerk Recruitment Process will start. The IBPS Clerk Exam 2021 is conducted in two stages:
Stage 1: IBPS Clerk Prelims- This stage is conducted online which comprises of three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability with a total of 100 questions for 100 marks. The total time duration to complete this exam is 1 hour.
Stage 2: IBPS Clerk Mains- This is also a computer-based test that consists of four sections: Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General/Financial Awareness. The exam includes a total of 190 questions for 200 marks which have to be completed in 160 minutes.
For the final selection, the marks obtained in the Preliminary Exam i.e., stage 1 will not be considered. Thus, it is compulsory for candidates to qualify Stage 2 to be eligible for the final merit seat. The aggregate score out of 100 is used for the final merit list for each category. Candidates with top merit rank in each category are finally selected.
